The purpose of the women's ministries at MRBC is to encourage our ladies in
their spiritual growth through discipleship, fellowship and evangelism.

"the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not
slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things - that they
admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,
to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to theirown husbands,
that the word of God may not be blasphemed."  (Titus 2:3-5)

Every woman is an older woman to someone. This may be in age but also in
spiritual growth and knowledge.

The activities we plan during the year are evaluated in light of Titus 2:3-5.
Ultimately, these activities will help our church as our ladies are challenged
to think biblically, build community, extend the boundaries of that community
to enfold those outside the church.

How do we accomplish these goals?

1. Our primary emphasis is on Bible studies. These vary in subjects, dates
     and times through the year.
2. We plan social nights which are just for fellowship in order to get to know
    each other.
3. We have craft nights where the ladies can bring their own craft or get
     instruction in how to do a particular craft.
4. Periodically we have overnight retreats and bring in a speaker for special
    emphasis.
5. We help our church by ministering in specific areas:
           - Nursery care
           - Hospitality
           - Mother's helper (coming along side expectant mothers)
           - Mother's Closet (helping  to provide a wardrobe for expectant
              mothers).

"ILLUMINATE" taken from Matthew 5:16 is a special evening designed for our
ladies. It is an evening to fellowship with each other and to bring our friends.
There is a special feature, a testimony from one of our ladies and FOOD!!!

There are always opportunities available to help be a part of the women's
ministries at MRBC. We can always use help in areas such as publicity, dec-
orations, food and lots of good ideas.

All of the women's ministries activities are organized by a women's ministry
team. The goal of the women's ministry team is to evaluate our activities on a
regular basis in light of Titus 2:3-5, to make sure we are fulfilling our Biblical
objectives and to be sure we keep ourselves accountable to the Elder Board.
